Collecting information ...

Hi , I am xlayer , I am a student studying for the first diploma in IT . Today I am going to show you how to collect information from computer hardware so you can build you custom gaming personal computer. It is very important that you go for the latest hardware because of a simple reason , today technology is developing very fast so if you choose an old hardware it will be outdated in a few months. So it is always recommended to go for the latest hardware.
1.You should always start by choosing which CPU (Central Processing Unit)    you wish . So you can then see what socket it needs and combine it with that of the motherboard. To see the specifications of an Intel CPU I recommend you to use this website.

I chose this CPU which needs the s1155 CPU socket on an ATX motherboard.

2. Then choose which motherboard you wish to buy , most of the motherboard a produced with on board sound and internet ports so you do not need to buy any sound cards or network cards , Modern motherboards also includes 3.0v USB ports (Universal serial bus) which are way faster then the normal 2.0v USB ports. Most important thing is that the motherboard supports
the PCI express port x16 so it can support your gaming video card , and an other thing which is important is that you have 4 slots available for ram so you can add as much ram as you wish .

This is the motherboard that I chose that is compatible with the s1155 i7 Intel CPU.

As you can see this motherboard is equipped with 7 USB's , sound ports and an internet port , it also got fiber connection port and many other ports.
It is also equipped with many coolers for a good temperature .

3. Now its time to choose the RAM , there are many types of ram like DDR 400
the old ones ,DDR 2 DDR 3 and much more . The motherboard I chose , only supports DDR 3 RAM , there are also many different speeds of the DDR3 type like 1333 Mhz or 1600 Mhz or even higher then that you should always go for the highest speed that the motherboard you chose supports. It is very important that the RAM are all of the same speed or your system my suffer from crashes.
4. Now you need a storage device which is the SATA Hard Disk or a Solid State Hard Disk which is similar to a RAM but in a bigger shape and can hold information permanently . I chose a 500 gigabyte hard disk with a 7200 rpm so it can load up fast enough, there are also 4200 rpm which last longer but are a bit slower . Tough solid state hard disks are the fastest cause they have no moving parts but are way more expensive.

5.Then you can connect the video graphic card also known as VGA , This is what displays the image in your monitor so if you think that your going to use this VGA for extreme gaming you should buy the best one in the market , The best company for Gaming VGA's is the Nvidia also known as Gainward .
I chose this type of Nvidia VGA it is designed for extreme gaming.
6.Now its time to pic your PSU which stands for Power Supply Unit this is where your pc gets all the electric power it needs so it is important to be a bit higher or a lot higher watts then your pc is going to use it is also important that it is a high end power supply so your pc would run much smoother . For a gaming computer
it is recommended to use 850 watts or more.
I chose a 1050 watts power supply for any future upgrades I might do to my computer. This power supply also supports multi-core GPU for graphic cards.
6.Now you need some optional accessories lets start with a ATX Case, you can use any type of ATX case for you hardware the most important thing is that you have very good airflow into your case so your hardware won't overheat .

I prefer to buy cooler master I think they offer better prices and better airflow but every ATX case will do.

Then you should buy a fan controller so it will automatically control your fan's for perfect temperature for your system you can also set it to manual if you wish , Some of them are touch screens and some are normal.
This is the one I chose for my PC cause I believe that touch screen is more gaming style.

Then choose a CD-Rom of your choice preferably one that supports blue-ray so you can also view or burn HD movies on your computer . This is what I found the best.

The last few hardware you need are a gaming keyboard a gaming mouse a high quality monitor and you might also need a gaming headset if you wish to use this gaming computer for extreme gaming . Here 's what I got. (monitor , keyboard ,mouse , and headset).

22" IIyama PLE2208HDD Black Wide Full HD MonitorThe monitor must at least be 20 " for gaming for high details and high resolution. The keyboard and the mouse are also recommended to be gaming so they will have very low latency.

  3. Before you set out to build a new PC, you should find the best power supply for your build, as it really is critically important. They might not be as exciting as the best graphics card, but every PC component will rely on the power supply for, well, power. dr552
